The National Contact Point (NCP) at the National Centre for Research and Development {NCBR) supports the participation of Polish researchers, research units, enterprises of various sizes, central and regional governments, non-governmental organizations in the current EU Framework Program for Research and Innovation – Horizon Europe.
The mission of the National Contact Point is to offer comprehensive services that assist Polish applicants in the effective participation in the Horizon Europe framework. We inform about the EU calls, organize information days, seminars, conferences, prepare statistical analysis, publish articles and booklets on Horizon Europe. For more advanced beneficiaries, the NCP offers in-depth consulting services online and onsite consultations on the preparation of applications and support on various stages of projects’ implementation.
The NCP organisation is a large team of 50 experts operating in 5 units. Since 2020, the director of NCP has been Magdalena Bem-Andrzejewska. Deputy director Maria Śmietanka supervises the units responsible for issues related to the second pillar of HE – the Global Challenges Section and the Industrial Competitiveness Section. The responsibilities of deputy director Robert Grabeł include the Coordination and Horizontal Activities Unit, the European Research Area Unit (HE pillar I, ERA and the Widening participation issues) and the Innovative Europe Unit (HE pillar III).
